Lime is seeking a Deputy Regional Head to spearhead our policy and public affairs strategy across Iberia. You will lay the groundwork for Lime’s public affairs presence, driving engagement with policymakers, regulators, and local stakeholders to enable sustainable growth and responsible innovation in urban mobility.
This is a strategic, hands‑on role where you will set direction, establish relationships, and build the foundations for a high‑impact team as the business scales. You will act as Lime’s primary representative in Iberia, shaping our public positioning, identifying policy opportunities and challenges, and ensuring our operations align with the region’s mobility priorities.
You share our vision for shared, affordable and sustainable mobility and can communicate it persuasively to diverse audiences — from city officials to national decision‑makers. Working closely with global and regional teams, you will play a pivotal role in defining Lime’s long‑term success and reputation in Iberia.
Build and lead strategic relationships with senior government and city officials, policymakers, and regulatory agencies, meeting regularly to build trust and mutual understanding, mitigate potential obstacles, and advance Lime’s strategic priorities.
Shape and execute Lime’s public policy and advocacy agenda, ensuring strong alignment between business objectives, regulatory strategy, and community engagement goals.
Serve as a trusted advisor to internal leadership and cross‑functional teams, helping navigate complex political and regulatory environments and identify opportunities for growth and collaboration.
Represent Lime externally with public institutions, transit authorities, and key partners to promote how Lime’s mobility solutions can best serve their cities.
Partner with organizations, educational institutions, and community groups to align Lime’s mission with local transportation, environmental, and social initiatives.
Collaborate closely with other Lime teams — including operations, communications, marketing, and government relations — to ensure coordinated execution across markets.
Manage and guide the work of external advisers and consultants, ensuring high‑quality engagement and consistent policy messaging.
Track, interpret, and advise on relevant regulatory and legislative developments, anticipating their impact and shaping Lime’s proactive response.
Degree in Politics, Communications, Law, Public Relations, or equivalent experience.
7+ years of experience in government affairs, public policy, political campaigns, or business development in a government‑related environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to identify and drive mutually beneficial outcomes in complex political contexts.
Proven ability to prioritize, evaluate, and influence policy pathways that support Lime’s growth using measurable outcomes.
Comfortable working in fast‑paced environments and engaging at senior institutional levels.
Available for travel.
Ability to build diverse, cross‑functional relationships across Lime’s business to identify key policy issues and navigate priorities effectively.
Established network within transportation, government, or advocacy sectors in your market.
Experience managing consultants or external partners.
Full English proficiency required; additional languages are a plus.
