A leading cloud services provider in Zaragoza seeks a Mechanical Chief Engineer to oversee operations within data centres. You will manage engineering teams and ensure the mechanical systems function efficiently. AWS is looking for a detail‑oriented individual to join our Data Centre Engineering Operations Team as a Mechanical Chief Engineer. The role focuses on ensuring all mechanical equipment within the data centre operates at peak efficiency through planned preventive maintenance, daily corrective work, and emergency response.
The Mechanical Chief Engineer serves as a technical resource, interacting with onsite Engineering Operations Technicians (EOT) and third‑party vendors. The engineer is the singular focal point for all facility operations within a given data centre and supports AWS in areas such as fire/life safety equipment and electrical equipment.
AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centres and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that keep the cloud running.
