A global technology leader in Zaragoza is seeking an Electrical Installation Technician. You will be responsible for powering new racks and ensuring infrastructure safety while collaborating with diverse teams. The ideal candidate has relevant electrical qualifications and must be able to lift up to 20kg and work both in cramped spaces and from heights. Formación

  • Valid work authorization in Spain.
  • Experience with hand tools and technical assembly preferred.
  • English B1 level or equivalent.

Responsabilidades

  • Drive continuous improvement efforts on infrastructure.
  • Conduct pre-delivery circuit testing to verify functionality.
  • Perform rack energization, including testing.

Conocimientos

Knowledge of key electrical competencies and theory

This is a unique opportunity to work in some of the most innovative and fast paced data centers in the world.

As Electrical Installation Technician you will be responsible for powering up new racks in order to increase AWS server and network capacity (involves work on ATS\'s, PDC\'s and Catchers). The role requires a highly driven, self-managed individual who can be trusted to plan the daily operations and travel between different locations within the city.

AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. You\'ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You\'ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Key responsibilities
  • Setting and maintaining the highest standards for safety and actively promoting a world-class safety culture in all aspects of operational procedure
  • Driving continuous improvement efforts on infrastructure through standardization of procedures and policies, while delivering performance against agreed metrics
  • Enabling the operations organization to delivering 100% up-time on all customer supporting infrastructure
  • Collaborating effectively with internal & external stakeholders to deliver operational excellence for all AWS customers.
  • Follow the standard operation procedures and track issues through appropriate entries into a Trouble Ticket system.
  • Prioritize appropriately in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Assess incoming rack power requirements to ensure adequate system capacity.
  • Conduct pre-delivery circuit testing to verify proper functionality.
  • Perform rack energization, including battery and automatic transfer switch testing.
  • Installation and organization of cabling infrastructure and containment systems for rack equipment.
  • Execute comprehensive system walkthroughs to confirm proper rack installation and update related monitoring systems.
  • Familiarize with rack operational sequences to address potential issues during testing procedures.
  • Perform system walk throughs to verify proper installation of racks and updating of their related Monitoring Systems
Physical requirements
  • Availability to move between local sites in order to cover different locations on a daily basis
  • Work at heights and from ladders
  • Perform physical tasks on a daily basis
  • Work in a noisy environment with ear protection
  • Wear personal protection equipment (PPE)
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
  • FP (Electrical) or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of key electrical competencies and theory

  • Ability to lift up to 20kg and stand for extended periods
  • Valid work authorization in Spain
