A leading cloud services provider in Zaragoza is seeking an Electrical Installation Technician to power new racks and ensure AWS infrastructure efficiency. Ideal candidates will have an electrical qualification and a solid understanding of relevant technical skills, prioritizing safety and operational excellence in a fast-paced environment. The position requires mobility within the city and offers a dynamic work culture.

Formación

We are expanding our technician teams within the EMEA regions and have openings for Electrical Installation Technician. This is a unique opportunity to work in some of the most innovative and fast paced data centers in the world.

As Electrical Installation Technician you will be responsible for powering up new racks in order to increase AWS server and network capacity (involves work on ATS's, PDC's and Catchers).

The role requires a highly driven, self-managed individual who can be trusted to plan the daily operations and travel between different locations within the city.

Requisitos básicos

• FP (Eléctrico) o experiencia equivalente.
• Conocimiento de competencias y teoría eléctrica clave.
• Manejo de software de ofimatica, hojas de cálculo.

Requisitos recomendados

• Nivel B1 o equivalente, con énfasis en comprensión y expresión escrita.

Key job responsibilities

• Setting and maintaining the highest standards for safety and actively promoting a world-class safety culture in all aspects of operational procedure.
• Driving continuous improvement efforts on infrastructure through standardization of procedures and policies, while delivering performance against agreed metrics.
• Enabling the operations organization to delivering 100% up-time on all customer supporting infrastructure.
• Collaborating effectively with internal & external stakeholders to deliver operational excellence for all AWS customers.
• Follow the standard operation procedures and track issues through appropriate entries into a Trouble Ticket system.
• Prioritize appropriately in a complex, fast-paced environment.
• Assess incoming rack power requirements to ensure adequate system capacity.
• Conduct pre-delivery circuit testing to verify proper functionality.
• Perform rack energization, including battery and automatic transfer switch testing.
• Installation and organization of cabling infrastructure and containment systems for rack equipment.
• Execute comprehensive system walkthroughs to confirm proper rack installation and update related monitoring systems.
• Familiarize with rack operational sequences to address potential issues during testing procedures.
• Perform system walk throughs to verify proper installation of racks and updating of their related Monitoring Systems.

Physical requirements :

• Availability to move between local sites in order to cover different locations on a daily basis.
• Work at heights and from ladders.
• Perform physical tasks on a daily basis.
• Work in a noisy environment with ear protection.
• Wear personal protection equipment (PPE).

• Instalación y organización de la infraestructura de cableado y sistemas de contención para equipos de rack.
• Ejecutar recorridos completos del sistema para confirmar la instalación adecuada de los racks y actualizar los sistemas de monitoreo relacionados.
• Familiarizarse con las secuencias operativas de los racks para abordar posibles problemas durante los procedimientos de prueba.
• Realizar recorridos del sistema para verificar la instalación adecuada de los racks y actualizar sus Sistemas de Monitoreo relacionados.

Requisitos físicos :

• Disponibilidad para moverse entre sitios locales para cubrir diferentes ubicaciones diariamente.
• Trabajar en alturas y desde escaleras.
• Realizar tareas físicas diariamente.
• Trabajar en un ambiente ruidoso con protección auditiva.
• Usar equipo de protección personal (EPP).
