Job summary

DWS Group in Madrid is seeking a Database Engineer to design, implement, and optimise Oracle-based data platforms. You will work on SIMS, supporting data integration, quality checks and reporting, while contributing to a Snowflake-based future platform.

The role requires hands-on database expertise, strong analytical skills, and fluency in English. Hybrid working and a focus on modernising data architecture are central to this position.

Qualifications

Advanced Oracle PL/SQL development and relational database design.
Experience with data modelling concepts and complex data structures.
Snowflake experience is strongly desirable; familiarity with Data Vault and modern data platforms.

Responsibilities

Design and implement database changes and interfaces to support new business requirements.
Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to validate data for reporting and analytics.
Maintain and optimise the Oracle-based SIMS database application, including PL/SQL and performance tuning.
Analyse data-related production queries and ensure reliability and timely delivery.
Contribute to future Snowflake-based platform design and modernisation.
