eDreams ODIGEO is seeking a Data Scientist to join our Barcelona Data Science Team. You will design and implement advanced analytics and ML-powered solutions across the business, from fraud detection to personalization and optimization of flight offers.

The role blends big data exploration with rapid model development in a hybrid work setting. Join a diverse team delivering hundreds of thousands of predictions daily, shaping product decisions, marketing, and customer experience at scale.

Formación

• Degree in a quantitative field (Math, Stats, CS, Engineering or similar).
• 2+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, ML engineer or similar.
• Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
• Solid understanding of statistical, data mining and ML methods for various analyses.
• Strong Python coding skills; other languages like Scala, R, Java are a plus.
• Experience with frameworks like Spark, TensorFlow and libraries such as scikit-learn, pandas.
• Solid SQL knowledge; experience with Big Data technologies (distributed computing, NoSQL/graph databases) and Kubernetes, Airflow or Kafka is a plus.
• Commitment to best practices, from versioning to QA and monitoring.
• Written and oral English communication skills.

• Conduct predictive analytics to better understand how our customers interact with our products and help us anticipate their needs.
• Collaborate with Product and Business teams in order to embed Machine Learning into our apps, services and products and create predictive models and generate insights from our data.
• Coordinate, challenge and share the best analytical practices and methods within the organization.
• Stay up to date with the latest developments in Machine Learning technologies and Data Science trends.
• Effectively communicate results and insights with other stakeholders throughout the organization.

What you need to succeed:

• Degree in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or other quantitative fields).
• 2+ years of related experience as a Data Scientist, Machine Learning engineer or similar.
• Previous experience in problem-solving, strong analytical and technical skills.
• You have a solid understanding of appropriate statistical, data mining and machine learning methods for various analysis situations.
• Strong experience coding in Python. Other programming languages like Scala, R, or Java are also valued.
• Experience using frameworks like, Spark, Tensorflow and the already classic libraries like scikit-learn, pandas, etc.
• Solid knowledge and use of SQL is important. Experience in Big Data technologies; such as distributed computing, NoSQL/graph databases or architectures based on Kubernetes, airflow or Kafka would be a plus.
• You are committed to following good practices and conventions, from code versioning to QA processes and monitorization.
• Written and oral communication skills (in English).

• Experience with Applied AI Tools: Demonstrated comfort using practical AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or other AI-powered coding assistants.
• Experimentation Mindset: Curiosity and eagerness to explore, experiment with, and integrate emerging AI-driven solutions into software development workflows.
• AI-Enhanced Problem Solving: Ability to effectively leverage AI tools to debug code, streamline development processes, and enhance productivity.
