Data Science & AI Training Specialist or AI Skills Lead

We are a tech company revolutionising the travel booking experience through our consumer insight, innovative technology, market leadership, and Prime, the world's first travel subscription program. We are looking for an AI Skills Lead to empower our Advanced and Senior Software Engineers to unlock the full potential of Artificial Intelligence within their roles.

What you will do

• Training Program Development: Design and create engaging and effective training curricula, workshops, and learning materials focused on practical AI applications for software engineers. Topics include machine learning fundamentals, deep learning concepts, natural language processing, computer vision, and responsible AI practices.
• Delivery of Training: Lead and deliver both in-person and virtual training sessions, adapting your teaching style to suit the needs of experienced technical audiences.
• Content Creation: Develop high-quality learning resources, including documentation, code examples, exercises, and assessments.
• Needs Assessment: Collaborate with engineering and DS teams to identify specific AI skill gaps and training needs.
• Staying Current: Continuously stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and related technologies.
• Community Building: Foster a community of AI learners within the engineering organization, encouraging knowledge sharing and collaboration.
• Measuring Impact: Define and track key metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and identify areas for improvement.

What you will need to succeed

• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Familiarity with the European tech landscape and relevant industry trends.
• Typically 5+ years of proven experience in a data science, machine learning engineering, or related role.
• Deep understanding of core AI/ML concepts, algorithms, and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• Strong programming skills in languages commonly used in data science (e.g., Python).
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics clearly to technical audiences.
• Experience in designing and delivering technical training programs or workshops is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, agile environment.
• A passion for teaching and empowering others to learn new technologies.
• Experience with MLOps practices is a plus. Ideally, contributions to open-source AI/ML projects.
