ThetaRay in Valladolid, Spain is seeking a Data Scientist to turn expertise, initiative, and bold thinking into real impact on AI-driven financial crime detection. You will work on end-to-end implementations that sit at the intersection of cutting-edge AI and the world's most critical financial crime challenges.

Responsibilities include deploying pilots, designing customer-specific technical solutions, and leading data science and engineering efforts.

Formación

• 2+ years of experience as a data scientist/data engineer/big-data developer
• Fluent English - written and spoken
• BSc or equivalent in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or related field
• Proven experience in data analytics for financial services with data mining and forensic skills

Responsabilidades

• Deliver successful deployment and pilots
• Manage and design the customer-specific technical solution throughout the project life cycle
• Technical leadership of Data Science and engineering aspects
• Work on various data sources and apply feature engineering
• Extract insights and actionable recommendations from large data sets and investigate anomalies
• Train customers on system usage and monitoring
• Ability to lead multiple projects and meet deadlines

Descripción del trabajo

• Deliver successful deployment and Pilots
• Manage and design the Customer-specific technical solution throughout the project life cycle
• Technical leadership of Data Science and engineering aspects and team members including partners
• Work on various data sources and apply sophisticated feature engineering capabilities
• Extract insights and actionable recommendations from large volumes of data and Investigate anomalies in Big Data
• Train the customers on the system – system usage and monitoring aspects
• 2+ years of experience as a data scientist/data engineer/big-data developer
• BSc or equivalent in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or another related field
• Must have proven professional experience in data analytics for financial services with strong data mining and forensic skills
• Python/PySpark as well as DS workflow management tools including MLflow, xbhjioe Airflow, etc.
• Working experience with Linux OS - an advantage
• Fluent English - written and spoken
• Ability to learn and lead projects independently, and to work with minimal supervision with customers (tech & business)
• Ability to execute multiple projects and drive key business results under tight deadlines
