Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Data Engineer in a data platform modernization project. You will execute large-scale migrations to Snowflake and support reliable Airflow workflows, collaborating with the data platform team.

The role requires 3+ years Python, advanced SQL, Snowflake data modeling, Airflow, Kafka, Spark, and AWS S3 experience, plus strong testing and English skills. Remote/flex options available in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on Python development experience.
• Advanced SQL with complex joins, CTEs, window functions, and tuning.
• Snowflake data modeling.
• Airflow — building and testing pipelines in Python.
• Kafka and Spark experience.
• Iceberg and Parquet formats experience.
• AWS S3 data lake experience.
• Testing strategy and hands-on debugging.
• 2+ years working with large-scale datasets incl. Airflow and Spark.
• Overlap until 12 PM Pacific Time.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

Responsibilities

• Join data engineering to support large-scale modernization and migration.
• Migrate ~1,000 datasets to Snowflake.
• Adapt existing pipelines to Snowflake following internal architecture.
• Ensure data quality and reliability during migration.
• Support workflow scheduling and monitoring in Airflow 3.
• Execute time-sensitive migrations (Airflow 2→3, Confluent region, Iceberg).
• Help accelerate migration milestones toward March 2027.
