Mentor Talent Acquisition is seeking a Data Engineer to design and operate scalable ELT pipelines powering analytics, reporting, and core product features. You will work with Python, SQL and AWS, shaping data architecture while emphasizing quality, performance, and maintainability.

Responsibilities include building pipelines, operating AWS data workflows, and documenting data models and decisions. A modern data stack, international team, and remote options with quarterly Vienna office weeks

Formación

• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines in production environments.
• Strong Python skills for data processing and orchestration.
• Solid experience with AWS services (Lambda, Step Functions, S3).
• Understanding of Medallion Architecture and modern data stack patterns.
• Strong SQL skills and dimensional modeling expertise.
• Experience with structured and semi-structured data (JSON, CSV, Parquet).
• Knowledge of data quality practices and data validation.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build and maintain scalable ELT pipelines.
• Operate data workflows using AWS (Lambda, Step Functions, S3, Batch).
• Contribute to evolution of Data Platform architecture (Medallion).
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across pipelines.
• Optimize data transformations for performance and cost.
• Collaborate with Backend/Frontend Engineers and Product to define data requirements.
• Monitor pipelines, troubleshoot issues and improve observability.
• Document data models, transformations and architecture decisions.
