Emerald Stay in Barcelona is seeking a Data Engineer to design and operate data pipelines, structures, and models that power our web products and AI projects. You will own end-to-end data flows, ensure data quality, and collaborate with product teams to introduce analytics-driven improvements.

You will work with MongoDB, Metabase, Node.js, AWS data services, and dbt in a bilingual, fast-paced environment, contributing to dashboards, data schemas, and AI integrations while growing your expertise

Formación

• Master's degree (Bac+5) in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Statistics, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in data engineering.
• Significant experience with MongoDB and a BI tool (ideally Metabase).
• Experience with NoSQL/MongoDB and a BI tool.
• Knowledge of dbt for data transformation.
• Familiarity with the Node.js environment.
• Use of AI in service of data.
• Rigor and strong organizational skills in data handling.
• Curiosity and interest in data valorization.
• Team spirit and ability to explain technical topics in simple terms.
• Professional English.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop data collection, transformation, and loading pipelines (ETL/ELT).
• Structure and model data to meet analytical and application needs.
• Ensure the quality, consistency, and freshness of data across all systems.
• Automate data flows between various sources and destinations.
• Design and maintain dashboards, reports, and KPIs in Metabase; create optimized queries.
• Support internal teams in leveraging and understanding data; propose KPIs and visual improvements.
• Model NoSQL data schemas tailored to use cases; optimize queries and indexes.
• Ensure data consistency and implement migration strategies.
• Prepare, clean, and structure datasets for AI applications.
• Collaborate with product teams to integrate AI components (LLM, NLP).
• Participate in technology watch on AI tools and frameworks.
• Contribute to the back-end of web projects (Node.js) and data model design.
