Job summary

Manning Global AG is recruiting a Data Engineer GCP (BigQuery) to join a blue-chip client in Spain. The role focuses on building and operating cloud-native data platforms, pipelines and transformations on GCP with SOX compliance.

The ideal candidate has 7–10+ years in data engineering, strong BigQuery/SQL skills, and experience with Dataform, Power BI and Looker in a regulated environment. Remote work option within Spain is available.

Qualifications

• 7 to 10+ years of data engineering experience focusing on cloud solutions.
• Proficient in Data Forms, BigQuery SQL, and Power BI with SOX expertise.
• Experience managing Google Cloud Platform data platforms and services.
• Knowledge of data governance, Data Catalog/Dataplex and Truedat tools, with security focus.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate scalable data pipelines on GCP using BigQuery and Dataform.
• Design, build and maintain data pipelines and transformations.
• Work with GCP services like Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Dataproc and Log Explorer.
• Ensure SOX controls and data privacy across data processes and access.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and operate the data platform on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring its reliability, performance and availability.
• Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and transformations using BigQuery (SQL) and Dataform.
• Work with core GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Dataproc and Log Explorer, including monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with SOX controls and data privacy requirements across data processes and access.

Experience/Qualifications

• 7 to 10 + yrs of experience in data engineering, with a focus on cloud based solutions.
• Experience and knowledge in Data Forms BigQuery(SQL) & Power BI with SOX expertise.
• Data Engineering Technician with knowledge in Data Forms and BigQuery (SQL).
• Proven experience in the management and operation of the Platform on Google Cloud Platform and associated services.
• Technical specialists in data transformation and usage on Google Cloud services/components;
• GCP Developers (for example, Cloud Run).
• Should have working experience in SOX controls and data privacy.Specialists in data governance, Knowledge Catalog/Dataplex and Truedat tools, complemented with security and SOX.
• Technical specialists in the support and development of reports and dashboards, in Power BI, SAC, Looker technologies, Looker semantic layer. Experience in Fabric will be valued.
