The United Nations Office of Information and Communication Technology (OICT) is hiring a Data Engineering Specialist to design, integrate, and manage data systems, build data driven insights, and develop pipelines using hybrid cloud technologies. The role emphasizes SQL, Python, C#, .Net, and ML components to support enterprise analytics and decision making.

Formación

• Advanced university degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum five years of professional ICT/engineering experience.
• Three or more years with SQL databases and ETL development.
• Experience with data modeling, data marts and data workflows.
• Proficiency in Python, C#/.Net and REST APIs.
• Familiarity with MS Fabric, MS SQL Server and Power BI.
• Experience using Generative AI tools for data transformation and scripting.

Responsabilidades

• Architect, analyze and manage data to build data models and insights.
• Develop data collection, integration, pipelines and ETLs.
• Create models for data distillation to aid decision making.
• Design data marts and pipelines using hybrid cloud tech.
• Develop tabular cubes, views and dataflows for visualization.
• Build ML solutions for monitoring and forecasting.
• Write documentation and training materials.
