We’re seeking an experienced Data Engineer to support cloud data initiatives and build scalable, high-quality data solutions. This is a fully remote freelance role open to candidates anywhere in Europe.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain ETL pipelines and scalable data workflows
• Develop and optimize data models (incl. cost data model)
• Work with Azure, AWS, Databricks (Fabric), Informatica, and Snowflake (nice to have)
• Implement and maintain CI/CD processes
• Apply Medallion architecture principles
• Create dashboards and BI reports; integrate data via basic APIs
• Gather requirements, document processes, and optimize existing flows
• Ensure data quality, performance, and scalability across platforms

Required Skills

• 3+ years in Data Engineering / Data Analysis
• Strong in data modeling, data warehousing, ETL, advanced SQL
• Hands‑on with Azure, AWS, Databricks (Fabric), Informatica
• Familiarity with Snowflake, CI/CD, BI reporting, dashboard creation, API integration
• Knowledge of Medallion architecture
• Detail‑oriented, proactive, able to work independently in agile teams
