Job summary

Remobi LTD. is hiring a Data Engineer to join a European data consultancy building an analytics platform on Azure Databricks for a German insurer. You will support data loading, quality rules, and exports for Power BI reporting ahead of January 2027 go-live.

You’ll work with a team of data consultants, implement tests, and help transfer Databricks knowledge to the client. Fluent English required; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in data engineering with hands-on Databricks work.
• Strong PySpark and SQL skills, data quality experience preferred.
• Experience with Delta Lake and Git-based workflows.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Nice to have: Databricks certification, Azure experience, German language.

Responsibilities

• Create standardized exports for CRM and reporting.

Role Description

We're hiring a Data Engineer to join a leading European data and AI consultancy building an analytical data platform on Azure Databricks for a German insurer.

The first phase delivers sales reporting and campaign management for a new pension product, with customer and broker data from multiple systems merged and cleansed to power Power BI reporting. Go-live is January 2027, followed by stabilisation until the end of March.

What You'll Do

• Implement data loading routes and transformations in Databricks to the lead engineer's specifications


• Build data quality rules and matching logic for duplicate detection across customer and broker data


• Create selections and standardised data exports for the CRM


• Write unit tests and support technical documentation


• Help transfer Databricks knowledge to the client's internal team

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of data engineering experience, including hands-on Databricks project work


• Strong PySpark and SQL skills


• Experience with Delta Lake and Git-based workflows


• Fluent in written and spoken English


• Nice to have: Databricks certification, Azure experience, German
