Overview

We are seeking a skilled Databricks Engineer to join a growing AI engineering team on a contract basis. The role will support additional workload demands and contribute to building the technology infrastructure that underpins new features within a data and AI platform.

This is an opportunity for an adaptable developer with strong problem-solving skills and intellectual curiosity to work across a variety of projects within a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable features within the AI platform.
• Build and optimize technology infrastructure to support data and AI initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with data engineers, software engineers, and data scientists.
• Understand internal customer needs and deliver solutions effectively.
• Contribute to the creation of reusable recipes, packages, and tools for internal platform users.

Core Skills & Experience

• 3–5+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks (PySpark, SQL optimizations).
• Strong proficiency with Python, Spark, and the Microsoft Azure stack.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience working in hybrid/Agile engineering environments.
