The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience in Data Engineering, with expertise in Composer/Airflow, BigQuery, and Python. • At least 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Extensive experience with Composer / Airflow environments.
• Python advance level.
• BigQuery expert level (modelling, data types, clustering, partitioning).
• Solid knowledge around SQL, Docker, Kubernetes and Git.
• Extensive experience in GCP, Airbyte, Github Actions and dbt valued.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines, building new integrations when needed to support business needs.
• Build, maintain and evolve the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources, using Composer (Airflow), BigQuery, Airbyte or Python.
• Collaborate with analytics and business teams to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility and fostering data‑driven decision making across the organization.
• Work closely with all business units and engineering teams to develop strategy for long‑term data platform architecture.
• Monitor and improve efficiency for data pipelines, ensuring things run smoothly (and dealing with the occasional backfill).
• Follow best practices around code, pipelines and CI / CD deployments.
• Follow Agile values and principles.

Qualifications

• At least 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Extensive experience with Composer / Airflow environments.
• Python advance level.
• BigQuery expert level (modelling, data types, clustering, partitioning).
