Orange Business is seeking a Data Consultant in Madrid to join a data-driven project with strong business impact. You will work in a small team, handling data analysis, automation, reporting, and stakeholder collaboration from day one.

• Analyze and resolve business requests using SQL.
• Translate business requirements into queries, metrics, and data analysis.
• Design and maintain data extraction and transformation processes.
• Develop scripts and automation in Python to improve efficiency and streamline processes.
• Create and maintain reports and dashboards that support business decision-making in different areas.
• Collaborate with non-technical business stakeholders to understand their needs and propose appropriate data solutions.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
• Participate in the project's technological evolution and the adoption of new data tools.

The team, position & mission:

At Orange Business, we are looking for a Data Consultant to join a project with high business impact and a high degree of technical autonomy. You will work in a small team where you will have end-to-end visibility of the project and the opportunity to contribute across different areas, including data analysis, process automation, reporting, and direct collaboration with business stakeholders.

We are looking for someone with initiative, strong analytical skills, and an interest in solving real business challenges through data. You will help transform business needs into practical data solutions while gaining exposure to different technologies, processes, and stakeholders.

We are not looking for someone who is already an expert in every technology, but rather someone with a solid foundation in data, a proactive mindset, and a willingness to learn and grow alongside the project.

Your key areas of responsibility as Data Consultant:

• Analyze and resolve business requests using SQL.

As an ideal candidate you have:

• Practical knowledge of SQL.
• Practical knowledge of Python.

• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
• Proactive and autonomous way of working, with the ability to take ownership of tasks.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and understand their needs and requirements.
• Professional English proficiency (B2 level or above).

It is not a requirement, but considered a plus:

• Previous experience in data, analytics, reporting, or business intelligence projects.
• Intermediate or advanced knowledge of SQL.
• Experience in developing automation in Python.
• Experience with Power BI, reporting tools, or data visualization solutions.
• Knowledge of Git/GitHub, data modelling, ETL processes, BigQuery, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Apache Airflow.
• Experience with or interest in other data-oriented cloud technologies.
