Reboot Monkey is seeking a Data Center Technician in Oviedo, Spain to provide on-site support at local data center facilities. This role requires hands-on data center experience, server hardware knowledge, cabling standards, and strong English communication. You will perform rack installations, hardware swaps, and on-call support.

Proximity to data centers and ability to lift 25kg+ are essential, with flexible scheduling including weekends/holidays for urgent requests.

The Role

We're looking for a skilled Data Center Technician in Oviedo, Spain to provide on-site technical support at local data center facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Remote Hands & Smart Hands support (cabling, power cycling, hardware swaps)
• Server rack installation and decommissioning
• Cross-connect and patch panel management
• Hardware troubleshooting and diagnostics
• Visual inspections and inventory audits
• Escort and access coordination for client visits
• Emergency response and on-call availability

Requirements

• Hands‑on experience with data center infrastructure
• Knowledge of server hardware, networking, and cabling standards
• Reliable transportation and proximity to local data centers
• Strong communication skills in English
• Ability to lift 25kg+ equipment
• Flexible availability including weekends/holidays for urgent requests

Nice to Have

• Certifications: CompTIA Server+, Network+, CDCP, CCNA
• Experience at major DC providers (Equinix, Digital Realty, NTT, CyrusOne)
• Structured cabling expertise (fiber, Cat6, DAC)
• Data center or IT infrastructure experience
• Server hardware and networking knowledge
• Reliable and professional with strong communication
