Reboot Monkey in Albacete, Spain is seeking a Data Center Technician to provide on-site support at local data center facilities. You will perform remote hands, server rack work, and on-call services to ensure uptime.

The role requires hands-on data center experience, knowledge of server hardware and networking, and the ability to lift up to 25 kg. Proximity to data centers and reliable transport are essential.

The Role

We're looking for a skilled Data Center Technician in Albacete, Spain to provide on-site technical support at local data center facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Remote Hands & Smart Hands support (cabling, power cycling, hardware swaps)


• Server rack installation and decommissioning


• Cross-connect and patch panel management


• Hardware troubleshooting and diagnostics


• Visual inspections and inventory audits


• Escort and access coordination for client visits


• Emergency response and on-call availability

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with data center infrastructure


• Knowledge of server hardware, networking, and cabling standards


• Reliable transportation and proximity to local data centers


• Strong communication skills in English


• Ability to lift 25kg+ equipment


• Flexible availability including weekends/holidays for urgent requests

Nice to Have

• Certifications: CompTIA Server+, Network+, CDCP, CCNA


• Experience at major DC providers (Equinix, Digital Realty, NTT, CyrusOne)


• Structured cabling expertise (fiber, Cat6, DAC)


• Data center or IT infrastructure experience


• Server hardware and networking knowledge


• Reliable and professional with strong communication


• Proximity to local data center facilities


• Flexible schedule for on-call/emergency work
