Q-tech is seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead the evolution of our enterprise data architecture. You will define data models, ingestion strategies and consumption patterns in a highly collaborative, international environment.

You will ensure solutions align with enterprise standards, manage the Enterprise Data Model, and influence architectural decisions across engineering, architecture, and security teams. Experience in Financial Services is highly valued.

Formación

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field and at least 5 years of experience in Data Engineering and Architecture.
• Strong experience in Data Architecture and Data Modelling.
• Solid knowledge of 3NF, Star Schema, Snowflake Schema and Data Vault 2.0.
• Experience with data ingestion and consumption architectures, including batch, streaming, parallel ingestion and event-driven approaches.
• Experience with Snowflake and cloud deployments, preferably GCP.
• Previous experience in Financial Services or Asset Management is highly desirable.

Join a leading global asset manager and take a key role in shaping the data architecture of an international financial organization.

With data playing a critical role across investment, operations and business functions, the organization is continuously evolving how data is structured, managed, integrated and consumed across its global technology landscape. As a Data Architect, you will contribute to this evolution by defining scalable data architectures, establishing modelling and integration patterns, and ensuring that data solutions remain aligned with enterprise standards and long-term technology strategy.

You will join the Solution & Data Architecture function and work across a broad international technology environment, collaborating with Data Engineers, Solution Architects, Domain Architects, Data SMEs and Security specialists. The role combines strong technical expertise in data architecture with the ability to influence how data is managed and delivered across the organization.

This is a role for an experienced Data Architect or Senior Data Engineer with strong architectural experience, particularly someone with a solid background in data modelling, data engineering, databases and cloud technologies. Experience in Financial Services or Asset Management would be highly valuable.

About the role

As Data Architect, you will help define and evolve the organization's enterprise data architecture, translating functional and non-functional requirements into appropriate data models, ingestion strategies and consumption patterns.

You will work closely with engineering and architecture teams to turn these designs into practical solutions, while contributing to strategic architecture decisions and establishing reusable patterns and standards for data across the organization.

A key part of the role will also be maintaining and evolving the Enterprise Data Model (EDM), ensuring that data is modelled consistently across different initiatives and that logical models can be effectively translated into physical implementations.

• Translate functional and non-functional requirements into data architecture designs, data models and appropriate ingestion and consumption strategies
• Design and maintain data models using approaches such as 3NF, Star Schema, Snowflake Schema and Data Vault 2.0, selecting the most appropriate methodology according to business and technical requirements
• Define and promote data architecture patterns covering batch processing, streaming, parallel ingestion and event-driven architectures
• Work closely with Data Engineers, providing architectural guidance and supporting the implementation of data models and ingestion/consumption patterns
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Domain Architects, Data SMEs and Security specialists to ensure solutions are aligned with enterprise architecture and security standards
• Define and document architecture decisions, reusable patterns and guidelines for recurring data architecture challenges
• Contribute to overall solution designs and support the presentation and defence of architectural decisions before relevant Architecture and Security governance bodies
• Maintain and evolve the organization's Enterprise Data Model (EDM) and help translate logical models into physical models where required\
• Assess new data technologies and identify opportunities to improve and modernize the organization's overall data architecture
• Support the evolution of data solutions across on-premise and cloud environments, with a preference for GCP
• Ensure data architecture decisions consider scalability, performance, security, governance and long-term sustainability
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Data Engineering and Architecture
• Strong professional experience in Data Architecture and Data Modelling
• Strong understanding of modelling methodologies including 3NF, Star, Snowflake and Data Vault 2.0
• Solid knowledge of data ingestion and consumption architectures, including batch, streaming, parallel ingestion and event-driven approaches
• Experience with Snowflake is highly desirable
• Good understanding and practical experience deploying workloads in the cloud, preferably GCP
• Strong strategic thinking, with the ability to define architecture patterns, decision frameworks and reusable solutions
• Ability to work closely with Data Engineers and translate architectural concepts into practical implementations
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain and defend architectural decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Curiosity and interest in new technologies, with the ability to assess their potential value within an enterprise data environment
• Previous experience in the Financial Services or Asset Management industry is highly desirable
