EY GDS Spain seeks a Databricks Architect to design enterprise data platform architectures in a cloud environment. You will lead architectural discussions, collaborate with global teams, and translate business needs into scalable data solutions.

The role requires 8+ years in data solutions, 4+ years in Databricks, and strong skills in SQL, Python, and PySpark, with English at C1 level. A hybrid work model in Spain is offered as part of EY GDS Spain.

Formación

• 8+ years of professional experience building complex data solutions.
• 3+ years in an Architect role designing data solutions.
• 4+ years of Databricks experience including governance and security.
• 3+ years with Azure or AWS cloud products.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark.
• Knowledge of Databricks novelties (Lakebridge, Lakeflow, Lakebase).
• Understanding data fabric, data mesh, and data vault.
• Ability to drive architectural discussions and decisions.
• Experience with cost estimation and delivery approaches in cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical thinking and stakeholder communication.

Data Architect - Manager - EY GDS Spain - Hybrid

The opportunity

We are looking for a top-notch technology savvy specialists willing to move our projects on the new track! Your Key Responsibilities

As a Databricks Architect you will be responsible for designing of solution architecture for organization in a cloud.

Skills And Attributes For Success

Solving complex business problems at large scale. Participating in a cross-functional initiatives and collaborating across various domains. Interacting with specialists, product/project managers and partners from all over the world.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• 8+ years of professional, hands-on experience building complex solution
• 3+ years working in an Architect role including: designing and building complex data solutions
• 4+ years of experience in Databricks, including areas like engineering, governance, security
• 3+ years' experience with Azure or AWS cloud products and services
• Proficiency in SQL, Python and pySpark
• Knowledge of Databricks novelties, like Lakebridge, Lakeflow, Lakebase, Agent Bricks, etc
• Understanding data fabric, data mesh, data vault
• Ability to facilitate design discussions and communicate architectural decisions
• Experience in creating reliable solution plans in a cooperation with business and multi-disciplinary teams: costs estimation, delivery approaches
• Demonstrated strategic thinking through a proven ability to research client inquiries and emerging issues related to regulations, industry practice and new application technologies
• Experience in using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
• English C1

Ideally, you'll also have

• Strong understanding and experience with design techniques of relational databases
• Experience with real-time data processing and data warehousing aggregation
