Opdenergy is seeking a Data Architect & AI Lead based in Sevilla to design and evolve the company's Data & AI architecture. You will lead Data Warehouses, ETL/ELT processes, and Power BI solutions while building AI capabilities using Microsoft Foundry / Azure AI Foundry.

You will collaborate with the CIO, IT and business teams, ensuring scalable, secure, and governable data systems and AI integrations with SAP and other sources.

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years in Data/BI or related technical roles with production platforms.
• Proven SQL, data modelling, DW and ETL/ELT experience.
• Strong Power BI development and DAX/Power Query skills.
• Experience with Generative AI, RAG and AI agents.
• Experience with cloud architectures, APIs and system integrations, preferably within the Microsoft/Azure ecosystem.
• Experience data quality, monitoring, troubleshooting and governance in production.

• Integrate data and AI solutions with corporate systems and APIs (SAP and other sources).
• Establish technical standards, documentation, data quality, lineage and observability across Data, BI and AI.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and ensure production performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with CIO, IT, business teams and Data Owners to translate business needs into scalable tech solutions.
• Coordinate with external technology partners when required to retain in-house capabilities.
• Drive evolution of Data & AI landscape, identifying opportunities for automation and reuse.

The company develops, builds, finances, manages, and operates high quality renewable energy projects in several countries, with a portfolio of 2,6 GW (1,3 operational and + 1,3 ready to build / under construction) assets in operations and construction, whole portfolio under development sums up to over 18 GW.

Data Architect & AI Lead based in Sevilla.

What will you help with?

• Design and evolve Opdenergy's corporate Data & AI architecture, ensuring scalable, secure, reliable and reusable solutions.
• Lead the design and implementation of Data Warehouses, data models, ETL/ELT processes and data integrations, working with SQL and Microsoft technologies.
• Develop and maintain Power BI solutions, including semantic models, DAX, Power Query, dashboards and governed self-service analytics.
• Design and develop AI solutions, including Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, RAG and AI agents using Microsoft Foundry / Azure AI Foundry.
• Integrate data and AI solutions with corporate systems, APIs and business applications, including SAP and other heterogeneous data sources.
• Establish technical standards and best practices across Data, BI and AI, including architecture reviews, documentation, data quality, lineage and observability.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and ensure the performance, reliability and maintainability of solutions in production.
• Work closely with the CIO, IT, business teams and Data Owners to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Coordinate and technically challenge external technology partners when required, ensuring knowledge and critical capabilities remain in-house.
• Drive the evolution of the Data & AI landscape, identifying opportunities for automation, reuse and continuous improvement.

Who you are?

• 8+ years of experience in Data, BI, Software Engineering or related technical roles, with strong experience designing and operating production Data/BI platforms.
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL, data modelling, Data Warehousing and ETL/ELT.
• Proven experience developing Power BI solutions end-to-end, including DAX, Power Query and semantic models.
• Practical experience with Generative AI, RAG, AI agents or similar AI solutions.
• Experience with cloud architectures, APIs and system integrations, preferably within the Microsoft/Azure ecosystem.
• Experience working with data quality, monitoring, troubleshooting and technical governance in production environments.
• Experience integrating heterogeneous data sources; knowledge of SAP would be a plus.
• Strong technical communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluent English is mandatory.
