Job summary

papernest invites a Data Analyst Intern to join our Barcelona operations for a 6-month program starting January 2027. You will ensure data reliability, build accessible dashboards, and generate analytics-driven insights for decision-making across Operations, Quality, and HR areas.

The role requires SQL proficiency, experience with BI tools (Tableau/Looker Studio/Metabase), and an English-friendly, proactive mindset. A remote-enabled schedule offers one day of remote work weekly.

Qualifications

• Currently studying or graduated from engineering or business school with a focus on data, analytics, or quantitative subjects.
• At least 6 months of experience in Data Analytics, BI, or a technical role.
• Hands-on SQL experience for querying, manipulating, and analyzing data.
• Experience with data processing and visualization tools like Tableau, Looker Studio, Google Data Studio, or Metabase.
• Curious about data, technology, and digital products with some exposure to data science.
• Proactive, autonomous, and rigorous with strong attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication, able to explain findings to non-technical audiences.
• Good level of English.

In this role you will:

To meet these challenges, we are looking for a Data Analyst Intern for a period of 6 months starting in January 2027.

Your future missions:

• Ensure data reliability and accessibility

Your profile:

• Academic background: You are currently studying or have graduated from an engineering or business school, ideally with a strong focus on data, technology, analytics, or quantitative subjects.

• Experience: You have at least 6 months of previous experience, including an internship, in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a technical role. We are also interested in relevant academic, personal, or side projects that demonstrate your ability to work with data.

• SQL: You have hands-on experience with SQL and are comfortable querying, manipulating, and analyzing data.

• Data processing & visualization: You have experience working with data processing and visualization tools. Knowledge of Tableau, Google Data Studio/Looker Studio, or Metabase is a plus. These tools can also be developed further during the internship.

• Data & digital mindset: You are genuinely curious about data, technology, and digital products, and ideally have some exposure to data science or advanced analytics.

• Curiosity & proactivity: You naturally ask questions, explore new topics, and look for ways to improve things. You are not afraid to take initiative and learn independently.

• Rigor & autonomy: You are rigorous, resourceful, and independent, with strong attention to detail and the ability to take ownership of your work.

• Communication: You can clearly explain your ideas, findings, and recommendations, adapting your communication to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Languages: You have a good level of English.
