Descripción de la vacante

Ebury is seeking a Data Analyst to join the FCC Reporting team in Málaga or Madrid, hybrid work: 4 days in the office and 1 day remote per week. You will help enable effective risk detection, monitoring and regulatory reporting through robust data models and scalable analytics.

The role focuses on building data-driven controls, dashboards, and automated reporting, collaborating with Compliance, Risk and Product across jurisdictions. 2–5 years in analytics and strong SQL are expected.

Formación

  • 2-5 years Experience in Data/Business Analytics – preferably within FinCrime, Compliance, Risk, or Financial Services.
  • Advanced SQL skills – able to read and write queries across complex datasets.
  • Experience with our modern data stack tools: dbt, Google Cloud BigQuery, Looker / Looker Studio, Git.
  • Experience building data pipelines, transformations, and analytical datasets.
  • Solid understanding of financial crime frameworks.
  • Experience working with Python is desirable.
  • Knowledge of payment flows, FX, or banking products is desirable.
  • Strong analytical thinking with focus on data quality, controls, and risk interpretation.
  • Experience working with transaction monitoring systems or alerting frameworks is a plus.
  • Ability to translate regulatory and compliance requirements into data logic.
  • Fluency in English (Spanish, a plus)

Responsabilidades

  • Design and maintain data models and datasets used for transaction monitoring, customer risk scoring, and financial crime investigations.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of FinCrime analytics solutions: requirements gathering, data extraction, transformation, validation, and deployment.
  • Develop and optimise detection logic and monitoring rules (e.g. transaction monitoring scenarios, anomaly detection, behavioural patterns).
  • Perform data quality checks and controls to ensure completeness, accuracy, and auditability of FinCrime datasets.
  • Build dashboards and analytical tools for monitoring risk exposure, alerts, and investigation pipelines.
  • Support regulatory and internal audits, providing traceability of data, methodologies, and controls.
  • Contribute to the automation and continuous improvement of FinCrime processes (screening, monitoring, alert handling).

Data Analyst - FCC Reporting
Location: Málaga or Madrid (Spain) - Hybrid: 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home per week

Ebury’s strategic growth plan would not be possible without our Data Analytics & Compliance team and we are seeking a Data Analyst to join our Regulatory FinCrime Compliance domain!

Our data mission is to enable effective risk detection, monitoring and regulatory compliance through robust data models, scalable analytics and high quality reporting.

The team works closely with Compliance, Risk and Product to design and implement data-driven controls, detection mechanisms, and investigative tools across multiple jurisdictions.

Projects range from building curated data models to cover global key risk indicators for financial crime compliance and automating into standardised board packs, to scaling our regulatory reporting engine to incorporate datasets specific to transaction monitoring, screening and client KYC.

As part of the team you will
