Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Analyst to join our team and contribute to the development, implementation, and optimization of advanced algorithms and models and data understanding. Your work will support key teams such as Field Operations, R&D, Flights, Simulation, Autopilot by automating workflows and enhancing decision support, mission planning, and situational awareness capabilities.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct in‑depth analysis to identify patterns, anomalies, and insights across multi‑modal datasets.
  • Present analytical findings to both technical and non‑technical audiences, including stakeholders and leadership.
  • Translate business challenges into analytical solutions and data strategies.
  • Build and fit statistical and machine learning models; evaluate and refine them for performance.
  • Develop interactive dashboards for situational awareness using tools like Power BI and Grafana.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to optimize pipelines and ensure scalable, real‑time data workflows.
  • Perform ad‑hoc analysis for strategic decision support.
  • Ensure high standards of data integrity and accuracy.
  • Create intelligible reports with actionable conclusions and clear visualizations.
  • Integrate and analyse data from diverse sources including drone sensors, GIS, and real‑time systems.
  • Partner with data scientists to monitor and enhance the performance of deployed models.
Education
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields.
  • A Ph.D. is a plus.
Experience
  • 3+ years in data science or machine learning, especially with time series or predictive modelling.
  • Strong experience handling sensor data, GIS, unstructured text, and other multi‑modal data types.
  • Familiarity with mission‑critical domains such as field ops, aviation, or defense is highly valued.
  • Proven ability to build, deploy, and monitor machine learning models in production.
  • Experience working on real‑time dashboards and decision systems.
Programming & Software Engineering
  • Advanced proficiency in Python for data scripting, analysis, and automation.
  • Strong grasp of software engineering practices, including version control (Git) and DevOps basics.
Data Frameworks & Libraries
  • Hands‑on experience with Pandas, NumPy, Scikit‑learn for data manipulation and modelling.
  • Familiarity with ETL processes, database design, and vector database applications.
Data Storage & Querying
  • Strong command of SQL for complex data retrieval and optimisation.
  • Experience working with DBMS, data warehousing, and cloud data storage (especially GCP).
Modelling & Statistical Analysis
  • Solid foundation in statistics: regression, hypothesis testing, distribution analysis.
  • Skilled in model fitting, feature engineering, and performance evaluation.
Data Visualisation & Dashboarding
  • Expert in Power BI, Grafana, Looker, Streamlit, Gradio for reporting and dashboards.
  • Experience with Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly for advanced visual storytelling.
  • Strong data communication and storytelling capabilities.
Geospatial & Sensor Analytics
  • Experience with GIS systems, drone sensors, and tools such as GeoPandas, Rasterio, QGIS.
  • Ability to extract and interpret spatial and time‑series insights.
Cloud & Deployment
  • Familiar with Google Cloud Platform and deployment of analytics / data tools on cloud infrastructure.
Other Requirements
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a sharp eye for operational and strategic insight.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high‑paced, multidisciplinary environment.
  • Awareness of AI ethics, fairness and bias mitigation best practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
