Jobgether is seeking a CTO to lead AI and business unit leadership in Spain. You will partner with the CEO to define strategy, translate business priorities into impactful products, and drive AI, LLMs, and automation across engineering workflows.

You will scale high-throughput platforms with reliability, security, and cost awareness, building autonomous teams and delivering measurable commercial outcomes.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a CTO | AI and Business Unit Leadership based in Spain.

We are looking for an experienced technology executive to lead a technology organisation while taking ownership of a business unit. Working closely with the CEO, you will shape technology strategy and translate business priorities into impactful products and measurable commercial outcomes. A major focus will be turning AI, large language models, and automation into practical capabilities across products and engineering workflows. You will build on substantial AI infrastructure, including a dedicated NVIDIA B300 GPU cluster, to accelerate innovation and deliver tangible value. The role also involves evolving high-throughput, real-time platforms while maintaining reliability, scalability, and security. This is an opportunity to combine technical leadership, commercial responsibility, and organisational development in a data-driven, fast-moving environment.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will connect technology strategy with business performance, lead senior technical teams, and ensure that innovation translates into reliable products and measurable results. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Technology strategy and business ownership: Partner with the CEO to define strategic direction and lead a business unit, taking responsibility for its priorities, execution, and overall outcomes.
• Business and product alignment: Work closely with product and commercial teams to understand customer needs, guide investment decisions, and ensure technology delivery supports business objectives.
• AI integration across products and engineering: Identify and implement practical applications of AI, LLMs, and automation across products and development workflows.
• AI performance and value assessment: Establish clear success metrics and move promising initiatives into production, evaluating them against quality, reliability, cost, and customer value.
• Leadership and team development: Lead through Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, infrastructure leaders, and Data Science teams, providing clear direction, developing leadership capabilities, and fostering accountability.
• Infrastructure and platform evolution: Guide the development of high-throughput, real-time systems to support continued growth while maintaining resilience, security, scalability, and operational excellence.
• Execution and continuous improvement: Balance experimentation and delivery speed with the technical discipline required to maintain dependable services for partners.

Requirements

The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with commercial judgement and proven experience leading engineering organisations through other leaders. You should be comfortable making strategic decisions, challenging technical approaches, and taking responsibility for business outcomes. Key qualifications include:

• Strong engineering or software architecture background, with the technical credibility to challenge design decisions and engage effectively with senior engineers.
• Experience connecting architectural and technology decisions with product priorities, customer requirements, and long-term business objectives.
• Commercial mindset and willingness to take ownership of a business unit, including its priorities, execution, and results beyond the engineering roadmap.
• Practical experience building and using AI tools and workflows, with a clear understanding of where AI, LLMs, and automation create value and where their limitations lie.
• Ability to deploy AI capabilities responsibly in production environments, considering reliability, quality, cost, and measurable business impact.
• Proven experience leading engineering organisations through Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, or other senior technical leaders.
• Track record of building strong teams and developing a culture of autonomy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Strong strategic thinking, decision-making, and communication skills, with the ability to align technical and commercial stakeholders.
• Ability to balance innovation and rapid execution with the operational discipline required for real-time, high-availability platforms.
