Job summary

Celebrity Cruises seeks a skilled Sommelier to enhance our guests' dining experience aboard our ships. You will provide wine service across restaurants and cafés, upsell beverage sales, restock the wine cellar daily, and assist with loading wine onto the ship weekly.

Requirements include at least 2 years in fine-dining/beverage roles, shipboard experience preferred, a high school diploma, and the ability to work in a multilingual, guest-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of fine-dining restaurant and beverage-related experience (shipboard experience preferred).
• Completion of high school or basic education equivalency required.
• Ability to analyze and interpret documents such as recipes and manuals.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, tips, proportions, percentages.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.

Responsibilities

• Provides wine service to guests in restaurant and buffet restaurant.
• Restocks the wine cellar daily.
• Load wine onto the ship weekly when required.
• Assist with selling and serving wines and other beverages across outlets including cafés and specialty restaurants.
• Maintain professional appearance and comply with company standards.
