Job summary

GBfoods is seeking a Country Procurement Buyer to deploy Category Management strategies at country level, supporting two manufacturing facilities in Spain and coordinating with Head Office and the Africa Strategic Business Unit. You will identify local sourcing opportunities and manage local supplier relationships to maximize value.

The role requires a university degree, 5 years in Direct Materials procurement, English and French, and SAP knowledge is desirable.

Qualifications

• University degree or engineering diploma.
• 5 years’ experience in a Direct Materials Procurement role within international markets.
• Fluency in English and French.
• SAP knowledge desirable.
• Valuable knowledge in packaging.

Responsibilities

• Local sourcing mapping and assessment to feed Cat Mat strategy.
• Deploy Category Management strategies and act as main SPoC with suppliers.
• Manage local purchases not handled at Cat Man level including scouting, tendering, contracting and SRM.
• Handle Material TCO and budgeting.
• Oversee supplier performance, data in ERP, and local compliance.
• Drive efficiency projects and support innovation.

We are currently looking for a passionate and talented individual to join our team as a Country Procurement Buyer. In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the effective deployment of Category Management strategies at country level, working closely with Category Managers at Head Office and the Africa Strategic Business Unit. The selected candidate will also identify and develop local sourcing opportunities to maximize business performance and serve as the procurement buyer for our two manufacturing facilities in Spain.

Main responsibilities

• Local sourcing mapping and assessment to feed and enrich Cat Mat Strategy.
• Guarantee the efficient deployment of Category Management Strategies acting as main SPoC with suppliers in execution phase.
• Responsible for local purchases not being manage at Cat Man level including scouting, tendering, contracting and Supplier Relationship Mgmt.
• Responsible for Material TCO and budgeting.
• Manage Supplier Relationship Management of Local suppliers (performance including KPI on level of service, risk monitoring).
• Vendor homologation, master data management in ERP for all the categories at country level.
• Boost efficiency projects.
• Manage execution of Innovation.

Requirements

• University degree or engineering diploma.
• 5 years’ experience in a similar position within a Direct Materials Procurement function. Used to operate in International markets and Multinational Companies (imports management).
• Fluency in English and French.
• SAP knowledge desirable.
• Valuable knowledge in packaging.
