Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Construction Cost Controller to join our on-site team across project locations in Spain. You will assist in cost estimation, cost planning, and monitoring project costs, ensuring alignment with client objectives.

Applicants should have 5+ years in cost control within construction, fluent Spanish and English (B2+), and be willing to work on-site in Benidorm or client offices. We offer a collaborative environment and diverse programme exposure.

Qualifications

• Education in architecture/building/engineering disciplines as listed.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction cost control.
• Knowledge of cost estimation and contract implications.

Responsibilities

• Assists in preparing the project cost estimate
• Assists in preparing the Project Cost Plan
• Responsible for cost control
• Plans payments and collections
• Reports on the status of project costs
• Reviews payment certifications and issues the Payment Request for submission to the client
• Manages Project Change Orders
• Assists in defining contract closings and the contract with the client
• Supports the project’s financial close
• Manages potential deviations from the contract
• Manages claims and the legal implications of the contract with government entities

Job Description

Qualifications

• Education: Architecture, Building Engineering, Technical Architecture, Industrial Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Languages: Spanish and English (minimum B2 level).
• Experience: At least 5 years of experience in construction cost control. but experience in hotel renovations is desirable. Knowledge of cost estimation.
• Work Location: On-site at project locations and/or client offices.
