Overview of the Team
The IPC Corporate IT is made up of Desktop Support, Network, Server, Business Systems and Integrations / Data Management teams along with managed services that support the variety of systems and services IT provides. The IT and Security Teams sit under the CISO and VP of IT that in turn reports to the CTO.
Role Overview
The CorpIT is responsible for the successful delivery of programs and projects through an IT project management process in close collaboration with business partners, team members and various IT functions. This individual will assume end‑to‑end accountability for multiple concurrent projects and large programs consisting of multiple projects.
The preferred applicant will be an Information Technology professional with extensive knowledge of the IT industry. A working understanding of the phases and process for successful delivery of end‑to‑end Corporate IT solutions is a must. These phases include all pre & post project delivery items – Requirements Gathering, 3rd party vendor/technology/software/application evaluation, Budgeting, Project Plan creation and management, weekly stakeholder meetings, Internal Business Partner / Client interaction and coordination, Status communications, Problem resolution, Executive summary, Risk Assessment, testing, Go‑live / migration services, user education and communication, support knowledge transfer, etc.
Responsibilities
- Validate business cases, define scope and success metrics, create project charters, RACI, and governance.
- Lead workshops; translate needs into clear functional / non‑functional requirements and user stories; maintain requirements traceability.
- Run RFI / RFPs, coordinate demos / POCs, score options, and negotiate SOWs / SLAs in partnership with Procurement, Legal, and Security.
- Build integrated plans and WBS; sequence dependencies; manage CapEx / OpEx, forecasts, and variance with corrective actions.
- Orchestrate day‑to‑day execution (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid); run standups, backlog / milestone tracking; unblock cross‑team dependencies.
- Own RAID logs; perform risk assessments; manage change control / CAB; ensure adherence to InfoSec, data privacy, audit / SOX, and SDLC / ITIL controls.
- Define test strategies (unit, system, SIT, UAT, performance, security); drive defect triage and readiness gates.
- Lead migration and cutover planning, dry runs, runbooks, rollback, go / no‑go, and hypercare.
- Execute comms and training plans; enable champions; measure adoption and address feedback.
- Transition to Support with runbooks / KT; capture lessons learned and standardize best practices across the portfolio.
- Provide transparent weekly status, dashboards, and exec summaries; facilitate decision‑making and escalations.
- Align interdependent projects, shared resources, and sequencing across roadmaps and OKRs.
How You Will Make an Impact
The Corporate IT Project Manager will be integral in increasing the IT teams capabilities in enabling the Business. Primarily supporting the deployment and enhancement of business systems but will be supporting projects across the entire IT spectrum.
- Standardize intake, charters, gating, and schedules to reduce cycle time from request to go‑live across multiple concurrent projects.
- Embed InfoSec / SOX / privacy controls, change control / CAB, and audit‑ready artifacts into every phase to lower risk and speed audits.
- Pair releases with change management, targeted comms, and training so teams use the right tools—and retire legacy paths.
- Establish test strategies (SIT / UAT / performance / security), rehearse cutovers, and run hypercare to cut change failures and incidents.
- Lead RFI / RFPs, negotiate SOWs / SLAs, right‑size licenses, and consolidate duplicate tools to reduce total cost of ownership.
- Provide clear status dashboards and concise readouts with options, trade‑offs, and recommendations for faster decisions.
Essential Skills and Experience
- 5+ years managing IT and / or software projects with on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
- Practical experience with both infrastructure and software / application deployments.
- Broad understanding of Corporate IT services (infrastructure, applications, end‑user tech).
- Proven delivery across SaaS and hybrid solutions (e.g., M365, identity / access, security tools, enterprise apps, data / integration, networks).
- Vendor management experience (RFPs / RFIs, SOWs, SLAs) and budget ownership.
- Hands‑on with Jira / Confluence and MS Project / Smartsheet; familiarity with ServiceNow (or similar).
- Solid grasp of SDLC / ITIL, change control / CAB, risk / RAID practices.
- Information security awareness; able to incorporate security / privacy requirements into plans.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills—technical and executive audiences.
- Ability to coordinate / prioritize multiple projects, operate in ambiguity, and maintain high attention to detail while seeing the big picture.
- Customer‑service mindset and proactive problem solving.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems / CS / Engineering or equivalent experience.
Desired Skills and Experience
- 6+ years leading enterprise IT delivery in global, regulated environments; financial services / fintech strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success implementing third‑party enterprise software end‑to‑end (evaluation, procurement, integration, rollout).
- Working knowledge of SOX, data privacy frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and common security standards; able to produce access review and change‑control evidence.
- Advanced portfolio reporting / analytics (dashboards and metrics) with clear, concise executive readouts.
- Certifications (preferred) : PMP or PRINCE2; ScrumMaster / SAFe; ITIL.
- Technical certifications such as Microsoft 365 / Azure, AWS, or security (e.g., Security+, CISSP).
- Attention to detail with the ability to connect details to the big picture / strategy.
- Solid understanding of core IT infrastructure (networks, endpoints, identity), enterprise applications, and software delivery practices.
- Strong information‑security mindset; embeds privacy / security controls in plans and change processes.
- Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple initiatives and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; active listening; ability to translate between technical and business stakeholders; strong problem‑solving skills.
- Comfortable exercising sound judgment and data‑driven analysis in ambiguous situations.
- Learns quickly, adapts to change, and proactively closes information gaps.
