EHS Engineer / Specialist – Seguridad y Salud - Prevencion de Riesgos Laborales Desay SV Spain (Linares, Jaén)

About the role

At Desay SV Automotive Spain, we are looking for an EHS Engineer / Specialist to join our growing team in Linares (Jaén).

You will be responsible for ensuring that our new automotive electronics plant operates in a safe, sustainable, and fully compliant way — aligned with both Spanish legal requirements and Desay SV global EHS standards.

This position plays a key role in building a strong safety culture, promoting continuous improvement, and supporting the long‑term environmental and occupational health goals of our organization.

Main Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain EHS management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
  • Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits, ensuring legal compliance.
  • Manage waste, energy, and environmental performance reporting.
  • Lead incident investigations and define corrective actions.
  • Support EHS aspects in construction, facility expansion, and equipment installation.
  • Deliver safety and environmental training to employees and contractors.
  • Coordinate with local authorities and global HQ EHS teams.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Solid understanding of Spanish environmental and occupational safety regulations.
  • Experience with ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 implementation.
  • Strong communication skills and proactive approach.
  • English: intermediate or higher (communication with HQ).
  • Chinese knowledge will be considered a plus.
