ALBA Synchrotron in Catalonia is seeking two Controls Software Engineers to develop software for Accelerator and Beamline control systems and data processing. You will work on GUI components, core libraries, and integration of actuators and detectors.

The role requires 3+ years in Python or C++, 5+ years in Java or OOP, and English fluency. Collaboration in Agile teams and DevOps practices are key to success.

Qualificações

• University degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent; final year students accepted.
• 3 years of Python or C++ experience; 5 years with Java or other OOP languages.
• Experience with DCS/Controls software (TANGO/EPICS) is desirable.
• Fluent in English; support to reach required level if needed.

Responsabilidades

• Develop software for the Control System, Data Acquisition and Data Processing of accelerators and beamlines.
• Develop the generic toolset, core libraries, hardware integration and GUI components.
• Propose and implement innovations in Controls software to grow the section.
• Be a contact person for internal and external collaborators; work in Agile teams.
• Provide operations support and maintenance for Control Systems.
