HITACHI ENERGY SPAIN, S.A.U. in Madrid leads exciting work in the ES Regional Office on Grid & Power Quality solutions.

You will design and implement control and protection software for power conversion products, supporting a wide array of applications and customers. The role focuses on developing high-power converters for STATCOM and rail power supply systems, with opportunities to test in simulation, on real hardware, and at customer sites.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Up to 5 years of relevant experience in control systems, power electronics, or similar
• Familiarity with Matlab/Simulink, HiDraw, or Compact Control Builder
• Willingness to travel - commissioning and On-site experience in an electrical environment is highly welcomed
• Fluent in English (Other European languages are a plus)
• Strong analytical skills, proactive attitude, and ability to work collaboratively

At Hitachi Energy , we are building and expanding our ES Regional Office (ESOPC) in Madrid, Spain, within the Grid & Power Quality Solutions business in Europe (HBUEU).

In this role, you will actively participate in designing and implementing control and protection systems for Hitachi Energy’s Power Conversion products and applications.

At our competence center \"Power Converter Solutions\", we have a leading position in the development, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning of high-power electronic converters mainly for STATCOM and rail power supply systems. We also provide solutions for hydro pump stations and grid interties. With the help of our highly efficient converters, we contribute to the integration of renewable energies into the electrical grid of tomorrow, while also increasing the overall system efficiency.

How you’ll make an impact
