Opdenergy in Madrid is seeking a Contract Manager to join the Madrid team. You will act as the key link between Project Management and EPC contractors, ensuring contractual alignment during project execution.

You will oversee EPC and key supplier contracts, track milestones, and manage claims, variations and disputes. The role requires engineering or business degree, around 5 years in contract/project management in renewables, and fluent English.

Formación

• Around 5 years of experience in contract management or project management in renewable energy.
• Experience working with EPC contractors on utility-scale projects.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination.
• High level of English.

Responsabilidades

• Act as the key link between Project Management and EPC contractors, ensuring contractual alignment throughout project execution.
• Manage and oversee EPC and key supplier contracts during the execution phase of renewable energy projects.
• Ensure compliance with contractual milestones, deadlines and deliverables, tracking progress.
• Monitor contractor performance, including KPIs, quality standards and technical requirements.
• Lead management of contractual matters, including claims, variations and dispute resolution during construction.
• Drive project execution from a contractual perspective, aligning technical, construction and legal teams.
• Identify contractual risks and define mitigation strategies to protect delivery.
• Contribute to contract negotiation and continuous contract management throughout execution.

Opdenergy is a growing independent renewable energy producer (IPP) with presence in Europe, United States and Latin America with more than 21 years of experience. The company develops, builds, finances, manages, and operates high quality renewable energy projects in several countries, with a portfolio of 2,6 GW (1,3 operational and + 1,3 ready to build / under construction) assets in operations and construction, whole portfolio under development sums up to over 18 GW.

We are currently looking for a Contract Manager to join our Madrid team.

What will you help with?

• Act as a key link between Project Management and EPC contractors, ensuring contractual alignment throughout project execution.
• Manage and oversee EPC and key supplier contracts during the execution phase of renewable energy projects.
• Ensure compliance with contractual milestones, deadlines and deliverables, closely tracking project progress.
• Monitor contractor performance, including KPIs, quality standards and technical requirements, in coordination with project teams.
• Lead the management of contractual matters, including claims, variations and dispute resolution during construction.
• Drive project execution from a contractual perspective, ensuring alignment between technical, construction and legal teams.
• Identify contractual risks and proactively define mitigation strategies to protect project delivery.
• Contribute to contract negotiation and ensure continuous and effective contract management throughout the execution phase.

Who you are

• Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or similar.
• Around 5 years of experience in contract management, project management or similar roles within the renewable energy sector.
• Solid experience working with EPC contractors in utility-scale projects.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with ability to coordinate across multiple teams.
• Good understanding of project execution and contractual frameworks.
• High level of English.
