Job summary

Red Hat is seeking a Platform Consultant in Spain to deliver on-site OpenShift and cloud platform solutions. You will act as a subject matter expert in Red Hat infrastructure technologies, providing deployment, optimization, and best-practice guidance to customers and partners.

You’ll also contribute to knowledge sharing and method development across engagements. You will work closely with customers to understand their environments, design scalable architectures, and ensure successful delivery

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in a consulting role.
• Experience with enterprise stakeholders on development and deployment projects.
• Knowledge of OpenShift, RHACM, Ansible and DevOps practices.
• Ability to communicate value and project metrics to stakeholders.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

What You Will Do

• Implement automated, containerized cloud application platform solutions with a focus on applications and infrastructure concerns including networking, storage, virtualization, security, logging, monitoring, high availability and system resilience.
• Serve as a subject matter expert at the customer site, addressing technical, developmental, or strategic IT needs.
• Adapt to changing customer requirements.
• Manage problem identification, system architecture definition, software specification and design, testing, customer training, and deployment of complex open source solutions.
• Deliver quality results both on-site and post-engagement that are on time and within the scope of the assigned project, including project journals, status reports, and other standard documentation.
• Understand industry practices and Red Hat's policies, procedures, and values.
• Learn new technologies and apply those concepts to customer needs.
• Demonstrate good judgment in selecting best methods to obtain solutions.

What You Will Bring

• 2+ years experience working in a consulting role
• Experience working directly with enterprise stakeholders on a range of development and deployment projects.
• Good customer-facing skills; ability to present to customers.
• Knowledge and experience implementing and deploying container technologies in an enterprise setting and with enterprise-wide deployments, including highly customized and multi-cluster environments.
• Knowledge of and experience with Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) technology and container technologies like Red Hat Openshift and RHACM, and related infrastructure technologies on a delivery level.
• Hands-on experience implementing DevOps principles and GitOps-driven workflows.
• Ability to code in some programming languages (Go, Python, Java...).
• Knowledge of Ansible and Automation.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies.
• Ability to communicate value, progress, and metrics of key projects to required stakeholders of technical and business audiences.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, planning and communication skills
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.
• The following will be a plus:
• Practical experience with Agile methodologies.
• Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) certification
• Knowledge of Virtualization
• Knowledge of Artificial Intelligent (Red Hat Openshift AI is a plus)
• Interest in, passion for, and experience working with open source technologies and communities
• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification, or the ability to certify within a few weeks of the start date
