Job summary

Saipem in Fano (Italy) is seeking a Construction Engineer to join the Transportation System Construction Technical Office within the Energy Careers line. The role covers pipelines construction, supervision, and coordination with engineering and procurement teams.

Requirements include 2–5 years of construction engineering experience, a mechanical or civil engineering degree, and English at B2 level. Hybrid working, permanent contract, and a salary not lower than €38,000 are offered.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Scopes of Work for Pipelines construction and related facilities, RFQ for bids and projects.
• Draft construction operating procedures (Method of statement) for pipelines and plant construction.
• Provide pipeline and plant construction supervision and monitoring in the field.
• Support bidding and execution, managing interfaces with engineering and procurement.
• Coordinate construction strategy, schedule setting, and material procurement flow.
• Ensure safety, quality standards, and project requirements through company tools.

As Construction Engineer, you will join our Department Transportation System Construction Technical Office (CSO), in the business line Energy Careers.

How can you support us?

• Ensure preparation of Scopes of Work for Pipelines construction and multidisciplinary for associated facilities, Request for Quotation (RFQ) for both Bid activities and acquired operational projects, including Technical Bid evaluation of construction Bidders
• Draft construction operating procedures (Method of statement) for Pipelines and multidisciplinary plant construction phases.
• Provide Pipeline and associated Plant construction supervision and monitoring of work performed in the field, both subcontracted and direct hire.
• Support the organization during the bidding and execution of construction activities, ensuring management of interfaces with engineering and procurement departments, overseeing the availability of construction materials and equipment.
• Support the project organization in setting the construction strategy and construction execution plan. Coordinate with the project team the setting of the schedule and coordinate with the procurement team the proper setting of the material procurement flow.
• Ensure full compliance with safety procedures, quality standards, company and project requirements through the implementation of company tools and methodologies.

What are we looking for?

Education: Technical Diploma / bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical or civil engineering

BACKGROUND: 2-5 years as a Construction Engineer

LANGUAGES: English B2 (written and spoken)

IT KNOWLEDGE: Familiarity with the Microsoft Office package and Databases

What else should you know? Availability for short/medium/long term foreign missions and overseas contracts at construction sites is mandatory
