Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC)- BarcelonaTECH seeks a part-time researcher to develop mathematical and computational models for epithelial tissues. You will work on 3D vertex and continuum models, applying them to study mechanics using optogenetic tools and communicating results through reports and presentations.

Candidates should have experience in mathematical modelling and computational mechanics, plus a strong background in numerical methods and collaboration across disciplines.

Formación

• Knowledge in mathematical modelling, computational mechanics and numerical methods.
• Ability to conduct research in computational mechanics applied to biological systems.
• Experience with developing mathematical and computational models.

Responsabilidades

• Develop mathematical and computational models for epithelial tissues, including 3D vertex and continuum models.
• Apply models to understand epithelial mechanics using optogenetic tools.
• Collaborate in presenting results and writing reports; work across disciplines.
