Signify, the new company name of Philips Lighting, is seeking a Component Planner in Valladolid, Spain. The role ensures material availability for production, manages MRP, coordinates with suppliers, and supports inventory optimization to meet production targets.
You will work with Procurement, Production Planning, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Customer Service to balance supply and demand, minimize costs, and reduce shortages. Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred.

This is an exciting job opportunity for you to light the way as a Component Planner in one of our factories in Valladolid, Spain with Signify. The Component Planner is responsible for ensuring the availability of components and raw materials required to support production, customer demand, and inventory targets. This role manages material requirements planning (MRP), supplier coordination, inventory optimization, and shortage management to maintain uninterrupted manufacturing operations while minimizing inventory costs. This role works closely with Procurement, Production Planning, Manufacturing, Logistics, Suppliers, and Customer Service teams to balance supply and demand and proactively mitigate material supply risks.
While we value and appreciate all applicants, we believe that the following experience and skills will be needed to shine brightly in this job opening: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field. At least 2 years of working experience in supply chain, material planning, inventory planning, production planning, or procurement. Interest or previous experience in a manufacturing environment would be highly preferred. Data analysis and reporting skills, and experience working with Microsoft Excel and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or Microsoft Dynamics. Understanding of MRP, inventory management, and supply planning principles, as well as production processes and supplier management. Strong communication skills in English as well as in Spanish. Team collaboration and a continuous improvement mindset. Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail, as well as good organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure. Stakeholder management skills.
