We are looking for a Compliance and E-commerce Legal Counsel to join our Legal team.You will provide comprehensive legal support for the company's e-commerce operations, ensuring compliance with evolving laws and regulations, mitigating legal risks, and fostering ethical business practices.

What You Will Do

• Compliance & Ethics : Assist in developing and implementing internal compliance policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with ethical standards and compliance regulations.
• Commercial Agreements : Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including supplier agreements, customer contracts, partnership agreements and licensing agreements.
• Consumer Law : Advise on consumer protection laws, including distance selling regulations, unfair commercial practices and dispute resolution mechanisms.
• E-commerce Compliance : Monitor and advise on legal developments related to e-commerce such as digital services regulations (DSA, DMA), product safety or artificial intelligence.
• Legal Research & Analysis : Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant legal issues, providing clear and concise legal advice to internal stakeholders.
• Dispute Resolution : Assist in managing legal disputes and pre-litigation matters, including negotiating settlements.

What We’re Looking For

• 2 to 3 years of experience as a lawyer specialized mainly in digital law and with some knowledge on e-commerce
• Degree in Law with strong academic credentials
• Admitted to practise law in Spain
• Excellent level of English so that you are a fluent speaker and you may draft and review agreements in English too
• Open to provide legal guidance across a wide variety of legal issues to business stakeholders
• Passionate about fast growing companies and tech-driven businesses.
• Curiosity and interest to learn about the regulatory framework applicable to platforms

Expertise Interview - run by the hiring team, focus on the required core skills and the ability to deliver in a given context. This usually takes 60-90 minutes.

Stakeholder Interview - run by relevant stakeholders reflecting the reality of the context of the role, focus on the ability to collaborate & deliver in a cross-functional set-up. This usually takes 60 minutes.

Culture-Add Interview - run by culture interviewers, focus on adherence to Wallapop's purpose and business proposition. This usually takes 60 minutes.
