Job summary

BBVA está buscando un Analista de Vigilancia de Comunicaciones para monitorizar, analizar y reportar sobre las comunicaciones de empleados dentro del área CIB para asegurar el cumplimiento normativo y las políticas internas. Colaborarás para mitigar riesgos de abuso de mercado y conducta indebida, mejorando herramientas de vigilancia y desplegando proyectos en nuevas geografías.

Se requiere formación en finanzas/leyes, experiencia en cumplimiento y dominio del inglés (C1).

Qualifications

• Título universitario en finanzas, negocios, estudios legales o afines.
• Experiencia en cumplimiento, vigilancia o auditoría en servicios financieros.
• Fuerte comprensión de requisitos regulatorios (CNMV, EBA, FED, SEC, etc.).
• Inglés fluido (C1) y otros idiomas europeos valorados.

Responsibilities

• Monitorear y analizar comunicaciones electrónicas en tiempo real y de forma retrospectiva para identificar actividades sospechosas o no conformes.
• Asegurar que las actividades de monitorización cumplan guías regulatorias y políticas internas, y preparar informes detallados.
• Investigar posibles incumplimientos de cumplimiento, abuso de mercado o conductas indebidas, colaborando con compliance y legales.
• Contribuir al desarrollo de políticas de vigilancia y participar en formaciones para educar a empleados.

CIB's Risk Control Assurance Area (RCA) is responsible for ensuring the proper management of all types of operational risk to which CIB is exposed and their possible reputational impact, extending the methodology for identifying and monitoring risks and promoting the establishment of the necessary mitigation, control and monitoring measures in the operational processes/activities carried out by the Area, as well as those outsourced by it. CIB's RCA monitors the functioning of the Area's control environment and its effectiveness.

Sobre el puesto

The Communication Surveillance Analyst is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on employee communications within the CIB area to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. This role involves detecting and mitigating risks related to market abuse, insider trading. customer compliance, etc...

It also involves the continuous improvement of the surveillance tool and participation in projects to roll it out across new communication channels and geographies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitoring and Analysis:
• Conduct real-time and retrospective monitoring of electronic communications across various channels (emails, chats, phone calls) to identify suspicious or non-compliant activities.
• Use advanced surveillance tools and software to analyze communication data effectively.
• Compliance and Reporting:
• Ensure that all communication monitoring activities adhere to regulatory guidelines and internal policies.
• Prepare detailed reports of findings and elevate potential issues to senior compliance officers and relevant stakeholders.
• Play a key role in preparing responses to regulatory examinations, including the collection and coordination of relevant information and supporting evidence.
• Investigation and Resolution:
• Investigate potential breaches of compliance, market abuse, or misconduct, collaborating with other compliance officers and legal teams as necessary.
• Assist in the management and resolution of compliance issues, recommending corrective actions if needed.
• Policy Development and Training:
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of communication surveillance policies and procedures.
• Participate in training sessions and awareness programs to educate employees on compliance and surveillance matters.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and emerging trends in communication surveillance.
• Work with IT and other departments to improve surveillance technologies and processes.
• Participaete as a Product Owner in projects focused on developing the tool´s capabilities and implementing it across new geographies and/or communication channels.

REQUIRED

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, legal studies, or a related field.
• Experience in compliance, surveillance, or audit within the financial services industry.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., CNMV, EBA, FED, SEC, etc.).
• Fluent English (C1) and other European languages are valued.

VALUABLE

• Experience in surveillance technologies and data analysis tools.
• Experience in project management as a Product Owner and in functional testing and validation, working closely with development teams and Tech Leads.
