Airbus Defence and Space SAU is seeking a Commodity Manager in Getafe (Madrid) to lead end-to-end strategic sourcing for assigned categories. You will drive TCO reductions, manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and work across Engineering, Quality, Finance and Operations to ensure resilience and value creation.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, market analysis, and stakeholder leadership.

Formación

• Market Intelligence: Analyze market trends and price volatility to inform sourcing decisions.
• Risk Mitigation & Resilience: Identify potential disruptions and implement contingency plans for continuity.
• Multi Functional Team Leadership: Partner with Engineering, Quality, Finance, Programs and Operations to align needs.

Job Description: An opportunity for a Commodity Manager has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid).

Job Summary: The Commodity Manager is responsible for orchestrating and executing end-to-end strategic sourcing initiatives for assigned product categories or service groups. The primary objective is to drive total cost of ownership (TCO) reductions, mitigate supply chain risks, ensure uncompromising quality standards, and foster high-value strategic partnerships that align with the organization's long-term business goals.

RESPONSABILITIES

• Strategic Sourcing Roadmap: Develop and implement comprehensive, long-term category strategies that align with corporate financial and operational objectives.
• Supplier Relationship Management (SRM): Identify, vet, and onboard best-in-class suppliers. Drive continuous improvement through rigorous Supplier Performance Management (SPM) and regular business reviews.
• Cost Optimization & Negotiation: Lead complex, high-stakes negotiations regarding pricing, contractual terms, and service level agreements (SLAs) to deliver measurable cost savings and value creation.
• Market Intelligence: Conduct deep-dive market analysis to anticipate price volatility, commodity trends, and macroeconomic shifts that could impact the supply base.
• Risk Mitigation & Resilience: Proactively identify potential supply chain disruptions and implement robust contingency plans to ensure business continuity and supply security.
• Multi Functional Team Leadership: Act as a strategic partner to Engineering, Quality, Finance, Programs and Operations to ensure the business needs are fulfilled and integrated into the sourcing strategy.

SKILLS

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven track record in strategic category management, global sourcing, and complex contract negotiation.
• Analytical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in data-driven decision-making, and advanced analytical tools.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation, stakeholder management, and leadership capabilities, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
