Job summary

K2 Partnering Solutions is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join a team building a cloud native Data & AI platform. You will tackle challenging technical problems and help shape the platform’s evolution.

The role is hybrid in Barcelona or remote from Spain, with a starting salary from 55K depending on experience, and offers opportunities to work on REST APIs, Kubernetes operators, and architecture decisions within a cloud-native context.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Go.
• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native environments.
• A software engineering mindset with an interest in architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs.
• Curiosity for new technologies, particularly around Data, BI and AI.
• Familiarity with technologies such as Kafka, Spark, Airflow or Dremio is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve a cloud-based Data & AI platform from an engineering perspective.
• Contribute to the architecture and technical direction of the platform.
• Evaluate and integrate relevant open-source technologies.
• Design and develop REST APIs used to manage cloud services and their lifecycle.
• Build and maintain Kubernetes Operators to automate service deployment and lifecycle management.
• Investigate complex production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement robust long-term solutions.
