Vonage is seeking a Java Software Engineer to join our Cloud Engineering team and help build scalable backend services for the Vonage Video Platform. You will contribute to new feature development and backend improvements, focusing on performance, fault tolerance and real-time communications.

You’ll work on the cloud based API gateway, media control, and signaling systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design distributed architectures and measure service quality.

Formación

• Strong Java 17 skills and willingness to learn additional languages.
• Experience with real-time communications and cloud backends.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and performance optimization.

Responsabilidades

• Hands-on software development and system design.
• Implement new features for the cloud based API Gateway, Media Control and Signaling systems for the Vonage Video Platform.
• Contribute to software architectures for a highly distributed network application, resource optimization strategies, and real-time stream/message processing.
• Design and develop approaches to measure, evaluate and improve service quality.
• Collaborate on projects involving signalling fabric and coordinate with other teams.
• Embed AI assisted engineering into daily practice to accelerate delivery and enhance outcomes
• Proactively adopt emerging AI capabilities to improve workflows and shares best practices with the team
