Cloud Engineer Expert - Azure

We are looking for a Cloud Engineer Expert to be part of our Nestlé Nespresso Digital and Tech Team.

Position Snapshot

• Location: Nespresso Hub, Barcelona, Spain.
• Type of Contract: Permanent.
• Type of Work: Hybrid.
• Work Language: Fluent Business English.

The Role

As a Cloud Engineer Expert, you’ll work closely with your Product Owner to bring your deep expertise and knowledge to the platform team, helping drive the adoption of cloud technologies. You’ll guide and empower other squads, ensuring they’re aligned and ready for the cloud journey. Your role will focus on maximizing the potential of technology to efficiently deliver business requirements, all while keeping an eye on cost-effectiveness.

At the forefront of IT for the product or platform, you’ll collaborate with the product or platform manager to shape the technological direction, perform initial studies, and help set the stage for future growth. You’ll play a key role in delivering and maintaining complex applications and business capabilities. Whether leading technical activities or taking ownership of specific deliverables, you’ll be the driving force behind cloud adoption across Nespresso’s teams, supporting them to achieve their goals and thrive in the cloud.

In This Role, You Will

• Collaborate with multiple teams to implement the Cloud solutions to power Nespresso Applications.
• Develop and maintain the necessary IaC to deploy Nespresso Infrastructure.
• Ensure optimal end-to-end delivery of IaC to Cloud providers by understanding and overseeing the delivery pipeline.
• Mentor Platform teams in the optimal usage of IaC and GitOps within the scope of the landing zones.
• Work closely with DevOps, development teams and suppliers to ensure that the value planned will be delivered in the most optimal way.

What Were Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrable experience working with Azure Cloud, experience with other cloud providers is valued.
• Proficiency in hands‑on IaC development with Terraform.
• Good understanding of the fundamentals of cloud‑native Identity, Networking and Security.
• Demonstrable experience deploying Microservices architecture, with strong emphasis on containerization and orchestrators (AKS, OKE, Openshift...).
• Demonstrable experience working in enterprise‑scale Cloud deployments and landing zones.
• Experience working with DevOps and modern software engineering practices.
• Experience with continuous delivery tools like GitHub or Jenkins.
