Job summary

IQVIA is seeking a Functional Consultant – Clinical Terminology & Semantic Standardization in Valencia to drive the definition, implementation, and governance of clinical terminologies enabling interoperable healthcare data. You will contribute to SNOMED CT projects, development of semantic governance, and collaboration with clinicians and stakeholders.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences/CS/Biomedical Sciences, 3+ years in clinical terminology, SNOMED CT Implementer

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences, CS, Biomedical Sciences or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in clinical terminology projects.
• Official SNOMED CT Implementer certification.
• Knowledge of SNOMED CT and other terminologies (LOINC, ICD-10, ORPHA, HPO, ATC).
• Knowledge of HL7 FHIR and terminology resources (CodeSystem, ValueSet, ConceptMap).
• Primarily functional profile with ability to interact with users and clients.

Responsibilities

• Functional analysis and implementation of clinical terminologies.
• Definition of normalization processes and semantic governance frameworks.
• Modeling of clinical catalogs and coding strategies.
• Participation in SNOMED CT implementation and maintenance projects.
• Definition of terminology quality assurance procedures.
• Liaison with healthcare professionals, standardization bodies, and business stakeholders.
