Russell Tobin in Madrid is seeking a Python-focused Software Engineer for a hybrid, client-facing consultancy role. You will translate business problems into robust Python solutions and develop high-quality APIs and services for production deployment.

The role emphasizes Python expertise with Django/Flask/Kedro, REST APIs, and SQL, with travel to client sites and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Formación

• 4–10 years of professional software development experience focused on Python.
• Hands-on Python development with Django/Flask/Kedro or similar frameworks.
• Experience building REST APIs and working with SQL databases.
• Knowledge of AWS/Azure and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is advantageous.
• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Translate complex business requirements into scalable engineering solutions.
• Develop and maintain Python applications and services.
• Build solutions using Python-based frameworks like Django or Flask.
• Design, develop and integrate REST APIs.
• Write clean, production-ready code and work with SQL databases.
• Contribute to deployment and productionisation of products.
• Participate in code reviews and paired programming sessions.
• Collaborate with engineers, consultants and client stakeholders.
• Evaluate and adopt technologies to solve engineering challenges.
• Experiment with new approaches and continuously improve solutions.
