A leading academic institution is seeking a Clerk I/II for their Department of Family Medicine and Primary Care. The role involves providing finance, HR, procurement, and administration support, along with managing academic programme matters. Position Details

The University of Hong Kong – Department of Family Medicine and Primary Care, School of Clinical Medicine (22500) – Clerk I/II (holding the functional title of Senior Executive Assistant / Executive Assistant) (Ref.: 533401). Full‑time, two‑year fixed‑term contract with contract‑end gratuity and university contribution to a retirement benefits scheme (up to 10% of basic salary). Possible renewal.

Responsibilities
  • Provide finance, human resources, procurement and administration support to the Department.
  • Handle academic programme matters when necessary; liaise and coordinate with internal units and external organisations.
  • Assist in organising activities and events of the Department.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Clerk I (Senior Executive Assistant) – Provides the above responsibilities, and additionally:

  • Assist in tasks related to human resources, finance and procurement.
  • Handle academic programme matters for the Department.

Clerk II (Executive Assistant) – Focuses on academic programme matters for the Department, assists in HR, finance and procurement, liaises and coordinates with internal units and external organisations, assists in organising Department activities and events, and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess a recognised Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years' relevant work experience in handling academic programmes, preferably with experience in finance matters. Experience in handling postgraduate programmes would be an advantage. Candidates must have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, good computer proficiency (especially Microsoft Office), strong organisational and communication skills, strong problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team. Candidates with less experience may be considered for the position of Executive Assistant.

Salary & Benefits
