Overview

The School Cleaner consistently works towards outstanding performance across all professional standards, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment that supports safeguarding, successful outcomes, and the efficient and effective daily operations of the school.

To work as part of the facilities and administrative team, providing a friendly and professional service to students, staff, families, and visitors in a manner that truly reflects the values of our school.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that all classrooms, offices, corridors, toilets, and communal areas are cleaned to a high standard daily.
• Clean and sanitise frequently touched surfaces to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
• Ensure that cleaning materials and equipment are used safely and stored appropriately.
• Replenish cleaning and hygiene supplies as needed (soap, paper towels, sanitizers, etc.).
• Report any maintenance or safety issues promptly to the Facilities Manager or Administration.
• Assist with setting up and cleaning areas for school events or meetings.
• Ensure correct disposal of waste and recycling according to school procedures.
• Always follow health and safety regulations and safeguarding policies.
• Support the school’s values by maintaining a positive attitude and professional appearance.
