Grifols Engineering SA, part of the Grifols Group and specialized in developing technological solutions for the pharmaceutical industry, is currently seeking to incorporate a Project Engineer with expertise in Clean Utilities.

What your responsibilities will be
  • You will carry out and oversee design and feasibility studies for pharmaceutical facility projects, primarily in the area of Clean Utilities, ensuring technical quality and compliance with the agreed scope, schedule and budget.
  • You will promote adherence to quality standards, occupational health and safety regulations.
  • You will collaborate with validation and production teams in the qualification and commissioning of equipment and facilities.
  • You will design, calculate and supervise equipment and installations.
  • You will liaise with suppliers and contractors and oversee their work.
  • You will define the scope, execution schedule and budget for feasibility studies.
  • You will specify equipment and instruments and generate engineering documentation to support procurement, installation and associated work.
  • You will proactively resolve issues that arise during commissioning activities.
  • You will keep the project team informed, aligning individual goals and priorities.
  • You will negotiate with suppliers.
  • You will select the necessary resources to meet deadlines and investment targets while ensuring technical quality.
  • You will lead meetings with clients to track project progress.
  • You will supervise the work of technical office staff assigned to your projects.
Who you are

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, education, and/or ability required.   • You posses a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial or Chemical). Specialized training in the pharmaceutical sector and/or in Clean Utilities will be highly valued.
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role within the pharmaceutical or industrial sector.
  • You have solid knowledge of the design of purified water, water for injection (WFI), and clean steam systems. Knowledge of Black Utilities (hot water, chilled water, etc.) will be considered a plus.
  • You are familiar with cleanrooms and/or HVAC systems.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel and MS Project.
  • Experience or knowledge of AutoCAD, Navisworks, P&IDs, and/or piping isometrics will be an asset.
  • You have a high level of English (equivalent to B2 - First Certificate).
  • You are available to travel up to 30% of the time.
